Pillowcase dresses

Apparently these are called pillowcase dresses because you can.. erm… (stating the obvious)… make them out of pillowcases….

It’s a very easy pattern to follow, even if you aren’t using pillowcases. I had this old wrap-skirt which I got from Indeja years and years ago. I actually wore it to my brother and sister-in-law’s wedding. At that point it wrapped around a whole lot more than it does now.

I wore it the other day and struggled to keep it decently wrapped. Reusing it to make dresses for the children seemed like a great way to give it a whole other lease of life.

I followed this tutorial (mostly). Got some lovely royal blue fabric and bright ribbons. Easy peasy….
